Information we collect

Depending on how you use the website, we may collect your name, email address, telephone number, billing and delivery address, postcode, order and product information, installation requirements, messages you send us, payment status and technical information needed to operate and secure the website.

Card details are entered into Stripe's payment interface. We do not receive or store your full card number or security code.

Why we use your information

• to respond to enquiries and provide quotations or product advice;
• to process and fulfil orders, arrange delivery and installation, and send order communications;
• to take payment and prevent fraud;
• to meet accounting, tax, consumer-law and other legal obligations;
• to maintain, secure and improve the website and our services;

Our main lawful bases are performance of a contract or steps requested before entering a contract, compliance with legal obligations, and our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the business. Where consent is legally required, we will ask for it separately.

Who we share information with

We only share information where reasonably necessary. Service providers may include Stripe for payments, Ideal Postcodes and postcodes.io when you use postcode or address lookup, Vercel and related hosting providers, our email provider, delivery and installation partners, professional advisers, and Miele where information is required to source or support the appliances you order. These providers may process information on our behalf or as independent controllers depending on the service.

How long we keep information

We keep enquiry information only as long as reasonably needed for the enquiry and any follow-up. Order, invoice and accounting records are normally kept for the period required by UK tax and accounting law. We may keep limited records for longer where necessary for warranties, disputes, fraud prevention or legal claims. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it where reasonably practicable.

International processing

Some technology providers may process information outside the UK. Where UK data-protection law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we rely on the provider's applicable transfer mechanism and contractual safeguards.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict your personal information, object to certain processing, and receive certain information in a portable format. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner.
