Overall width and cut-out are different measurements

The advertised hob width is not the opening to cut in the worktop. Surface-mounted and flush-fit installations have different requirements, and some products record both an inner and an outer cut-out. Give the exact installation drawing to the worktop supplier before manufacture or alteration.

Match the cooking layout to your pans

Fixed zones, flexible areas and full-surface arrangements offer different ways to position cookware. Check the maximum number of pans and the selected model's supported functions. Induction requires suitable magnetic cookware; assistance features may also require specific compatible pans or accessories.

Confirm electrical supply and extraction

Compare rated load, voltage and the manufacturer's connection instructions with a qualified installer. Do not assume that a wider hob can use the existing supply.
